When we were in the initial stages of Canadian express entry, we were always on the lookout of information on previous draws. Here are the trends from recent draws for CRS scores i.e. cut-off score to get an invite. This post will be updated regularly to give you updates on CIC rules changes and recent express entry draws! -

1. The latest draw for Express entry was held on 2nd September 2020. The cut-off was 475 and 4200 invitations were sent. The tie breaker date was August 16th 2019 17.05 UTC. 
2. The status of express entry pool as of 30th August 2019 -
• There are 142192 profiles in the express entry pool.
• 364 profiles were in the CRS score range - 601-1200.
• 22881 profiles were in the CRS score range 451-600.
• 41654 profiles were in the CRS score range 401-450.


3. Due to COVID, some of the centers for biometrics have been closed. Biometrics have been waived temporarily until centers open up. So they are processing applications without biometrics. Read the announcement for details

Here are some basics you oughta know!

1) Draws are held every 15 days.

2) Provinces can also send out invitations separately.

3) If you are awaiting education assessment or language test results then we highly recommend applying after you get those results. You get the invite based on those results.  So better have those in hand before expressing your interest in the skilled immigration program.

4) The immigration minister has announced on October 31, 2018 that more immigrants would be accepted as part of the Express entry program.  The goals are around 200K permanent residents every year until 2021.
